Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a privately held market leader in laboratory and diagnostic information systems, today announced that the Fiscal Year 2009 ending May 31 was its most successful in the 30 year history of the company. This success is continuing into the new fiscal year, as sales orders for first quarter FY 2010, ending August 31, 2009 increased more than 30 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago.

Younger women experience larger improvements after myocardial infarction than men
In recent years, women, particularly younger women, experienced larger improvements in hospital mortality after myocardial infarction (MI) than men, according to a study published in the Oct. 26, 2009 issue of Archives of Internal Medicine.

Japanese Patent granted for Pharmalink AB's Nefecon
Pharmalink AB announced today that it has been granted Japanese Patent No 4326696, "Methods and means for treating glomerulonephritis" for its product Nefecon(R) which is being developed to treat IgA nephropathy, a glomerulonephritis leading to end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Counterparts of the patent have been issued for other territories including the EU, US and China.
